CBF South Carolina churches help rebuild home damaged in Georgia tornado

On January 30, 2013, a tornado ripped through downtown Adairsville, Ga, 60 miles northwest of Atlanta. Homes were flattened and parts of a large manufacturing plant were wiped out. Read more here.

Since this tornado, CBF Disaster Response has been providing relief to the victims of this destructive storm. Earlier this week, Wayne Patterson, a member of the CBF Governing Board, led a team from CBF South Carolina to Adairsville to help repair and rebuild a home damaged by the January 30 tornado.

CBF South Carolina churches represented at this rebuild included Fernwood Baptist Church, Spartanburg; First Baptist Church, York; Fants Grove Baptist Church, Pendleton; and First Baptist Church, Pendleton.
